Recommended Presentation Software

Microsoft PowerPoint is the most widely used presentation application. PowerPoint includes pen and marker tools that can be used in slide-show mode to add content, annotate or highlight key points. If you are using PowerPoint with windows, you can save all your annotations and markings as part of the file. If PowerPoint 2007 or a later version is used on Windows Vista or later, PowerPoint also gives you access to pressure-sensitive pen tools in slide-creation mode – which means that you can add hand-created content when creating slides resulting in realistic-looking hand drawn ink.

Open Sankoré is a free, multiplatform, open-source program that is compatible with any browser on any OS and integrates seamlessly with Wacom’s interactive pen displays. Open Sankore provides a fast and intuitive platform for presenting, communicating and collaborating with your team. By combining the Open Sankore software platform with the Wacom DTU-2231 interactive pen display and emergency response team immediately establishes a digital workflow for communicating and collaborating with all of the ease and simplicity of a traditional whiteboarding experience. Presenters can highlight important data, mark-up prepared slides, and quickly switch to the desktop to annotate on top of any applicaiton, including web content. Open Sankore' supports Wacom's pen pressure sensitivity for realistic appearing ink. Multi-monitor support allows the presenter to have full control of pen markup and related tool menus while the audience sees only the clean presentation content with ink.

Grahl PDF Annotator is geared toward document review, mark-up and commenting, however, it can also serve as an effective presentation tool. Documents created in any application can be converted to PDF, then opened in PDF Annotator. The application offers a host of pen, marker and drawing tools to allow you to enhance your material or create new information. The pen and market tools support the pen pressure information that Wacom’s pens provide. If you need to add to your prepared content, new pages can be inserted into the document. When you exit a document, you can save your annotations. PDF Annotator also has a full-screen mode which displays your content like a slide show. While in full-screen mode, you still have access to your annotation, mark up, and edit tools.

Bluebeam PDF Revu is an extremely powerful application for PDF creation, markup and editing. With its effective toolset, it can be used as a platform for presentations. Create materials in advance or start with a blank slate. Insert new pages to existing documents as needed. Pen and marker tools let you add information, notes, and sketches to your material. The application also offers a host of drawing, shape and editing tools. PDF Revu also gives you great flexibility on how to configure your toolbars – to make them as simple or complex as you would like. PDF Revu supports full screen mode which allows you to present your document like a slideshow. In that mode you still have access to pen and marker tools. PDF Revu supports Wacom's pressure sensitivity for realistic looking hand drawn ink.

Adobe Acrobat Pro contains drawing markup tools that allow you to use any PDF document as the basis of an interactive presentation. The pencil tools lets you add handwritten comments, diagrams or sketches to capture key points of a discussion or to add impromptu information.
