Architecture

Sketching and drawing with a Wacom pen combines the artistic feel of traditional design tools with the benefits of a completely digital workflow.

AEC

Benefits

  • Digital workflow mimics a traditional artistic experience
  • Faster design iterations
  • Share designs more quickly
  • More realistic renderings
  • Improved communications through markup and annotation
  • Reduce paper, scanning, tracing and cleanup

Use case

AEC Architects sketch and draw with a Wacom pen directly on an interactive pen display or on a Wacom graphics tablet to generate digital designs and renderings in a natural way. An architect sketches initial concepts quickly with a pressure sensitive Wacom pen, with realistic pencil and brush strokes.  Incorporating client feedback is dynamic and easy by building upon prior renderings to create multiple iterations of a design.  Photo-realistic final renderings are created more quickly using digital drawing and painting tools and high impact presentations are enhanced by using a Wacom pen to highlight and markup renderings directly on the screen in realtime.
