Collaborative Work Groups

With Wacom pen displays and tablets, students can work digitally yet share ideas, sketch out concepts and work with content as they prepare.

Collaborative work groups empower students and help them develop group skills. Students lead within their groups, learn from their peers, share their knowledge, practice teamwork and become key contributors to the lesson plan.

When working in small groups, students need tools that allow them to collaborate and share ideas with each other. With Wacom pen displays and tablets, students can work digitally yet share ideas, sketch out concepts and work with content as they prepare. Teachers can visit with groups individually and provide help as needed. If the project involves presenting to the class, our interactive pen displays and tablets are great for that, too.

DTU Interactive Pen Displays

DTU-2231 front

Wacom’s interactive pen displays are extremely easy to use because you write and draw directly on-screen with a pen. Since it also serves as a computer monitor, small groups can view and share the display. If the display is connected to a projector, larger groups can view and contribute to the team’s efforts.

  • Working on the display’s surface is so intuitive and easy that little training or experience is needed. Even those with little experience can effectively use it to create content.
  • Teams can use the pen display to create and share ideas with one another. The screen itself can be seen and shared by small teams. For larger groups, it can be connected to a system with a projector or large display. Then team members can take turns working on the pen display.
  • The pen provides the ability to freely express ideas visually as well as verbally.
  • When group projects require teams to present to the entire class, the pen display can be used in their presentations.
  • Wacom’s interactive pen displays are software-neutral. Use them with any of your favorite software applications.

Bamboo Tablets

Bamboo Capture

Bamboo tablets are also a good choice for small group interaction. Adding handwritten notes, comments, drawings and diagrams help group members communicate ideas with each other. Wacom offers two configurations of tablets for group collaboration: wired and wireless.

  • Working on the tablet is natural. Creating handwritten information is fast and efficient for group brainstorming and collaboration.
  • The pen allows you to communicate visually, which is critical for ideation and concept creation.
  • Small and light, Bamboo tablets are easily shared among group members, allowing anyone on the team to participate and add their ideas.
  • Wireless tablets can be passed around freely without physical restrictions.
  • The tablets are software-neutral. Teams can use any software that facilitates their creative process.

iPads can be used to aid in group collaboration. Writing and sketching are effective ways to capture, share and modify ideas. Using a stylus makes these activities much easier. Wacom’s Bamboo stylus works on the iPad’s screen but gives you the feel of a pen.

  • More closely mimics writing with a pen or pencil.
  • Better control and precision for activities like writing, drawing and note-taking.
  • Greater comfort when using your slate for extended periods of time.
  • Works on the iPad and other devices with capacitive touchscreens.
