Bamboo Tablets

Wacom’s Bamboo tablets give teachers and students an economical way to interact with the digital content on their computer. The surface of the tablet maps to the desktop of your computer and the pen becomes your cursor, giving you complete control of your computer. The freedom the pen provides lets you mark up over digital material or draw digitally – just like you would on paper.

Communicate visually through the use of annotations, diagrams, and sketches. Solve equations in real-time to aid student comprehension. Collaborate by sharing ideas and concepts. Because Bamboo tablets are so versatile, they can support many different learning styles and give you the opportunity to get students actively engaged in the lesson.

Bamboo tablets come in two different configuration – wired and wireless – to suit your needs.

Wireless Tablets

Wacom’s Bamboo tablet, when equipped with a wireless module, gives you freedom and mobility to interact with digital lesson content from anywhere in the classroom. With the computer connected to a projector and communicating with the Bamboo tablet by wireless connection, all work is shared with the entire class.

  • Teach from anywhere in the class. Move about as you control the lesson plan, giving you the opportunity to observe students and their reactions.
  • Take the action right to the students. Hand the tablet to a student and let them guide the lesson or add their ideas directly.
  • Eliminate accessibility issues for those students that have a hard time working with an interactive whiteboard.

Wired Tablets

Wacom’s line of wired Bamboo tablets can be connected to a computer with a simple USB cable. Wired tablets don’t offer the same mobility as wireless tablets, but the pen functionality is the same and provides students with an optimal instrument for writing and drawing. Students  benefit from being able to work with their digital content as if it were pencil on paper.

  • Remote students involved in remote learning and tutoring sessions can use Bamboo tablets to provide input and show their work directly from their PC in a shared whiteboard environment. They remain engaged and have opportunities to demonstrate their mastery of the material.
  • Students can complete and submit homework digitally. This is especially effective for subjects like math, science or foreign languages.
  • Small group interaction is facilitated. Adding handwritten notes, comments, drawings and diagrams help the group communicate ideas with one another, and Bamboo tablets are easily shared among group members.
  • Tablets support handwriting. Younger students might be learning basic writing. More advanced students might be focused on learning a foreign language.
