Sketch Manager Software

The Inkling Sketch Manager software is designed to help you save time by quickly preparing your files for immediate email distribution or for further development in other creative software application, such as Adobe Photoshop.  In the Inkling device, you can add, delete and combine layers and then save the files in the format you need, or export the files, with layers, directly to select applications.

From the Sketch Manager Preview screen, you can see all of your sketches that are in your “My Sketches” folder. From this screen, save or open any sketch, for further adjustment, or if you forgot to add layers while you were drawing, make these changes right in Inkling Sketch Manager.

Step by Step

As Inkling records your drawing, you can play it back to see how your drawing was made, stroke-by-stroke. You can use the “scrubber” feature to isolate parts of your drawing to separate into individual layers.

To delete a layer in an inkling file, simply select the layer and click on the “trash” icon.

To combine layers, hold down the “ctrl” button on your keyboard, and select all of the layers to you want to combine and then click on the “plus” sign to combine into a single layer.

When you are finished processing your drawings, you have the choice to export them directly to Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (CS3 or later), and Autodesk Sketchbook Pro or Sketchbook Designer (2011 or later). This export function will allow you to bring your drawings into these applications with all of the layers that you created by using the layers button on the Inkling receiver or the layers that you created in the Sketch Manager software.
