Q.
My tablet worked fine when I installed it into OS 10.2.7 or 8 but when I restarted it didn't work anymore. What happened?
A.
There may be a problem in the kext.cache file that is preventing the tablet from working.
The following steps will correct the problem:
Uplug tablet from USB port
Uninstall driver using remove tablet script
Go into hard drive: system: and highlight library folder
Command+I keystroke gets info on the folder
Go to ownership/permissions select it and unlock it
Change owner from system to yourself (users name)
Lock it back up. You will need to enter your admin password
Go into library folder and delete: extensions.kextcache and extensions.mkext
Empty trash
Highlight library folder
Command+I for get info
Go to ownership/permissions and unlock. Change back to system
Lock it again. Close window and restart computer
After system is ready. Plug in tablet
Install tablet driver and test the tablet. It should work normally when you restart as well.
