Q. How do I find out if my Tablet PC is Wacom Penabled?

A. A Penabled Tablet PC is any model that uses Wacom’s Patented technology. There are several ways to find out if your TabletPC is Penabled.
  1. Check with the manufacturer of your Tablet PC and see if they use the Penabled logo on their literature, web site or the product itself.
  2. Check the link below to see a list of current OEM manufacturers.

NOTE: HP1000 and Gateway CX200S or CX200X do not use Wacom Penabled technology. Wacom Penabled accessories will not work with these models. Check with the manufacturer for their specific models using Wacom Penabled technology.

Use the steps below if you already have a Tablet PC and wish to determine if Wacom Penabled technology is used in your model TabletPC:

  1. Click on Start
  2. Select Run and type Devmgmt.msc in the Open line then click OK.
  3. Expand the Human Interface Device section by clicking the + next to Human Interface Device.
If you see a driver loaded with Wacom in the name, your TabletPC is using Penabled Wacom technology. It should read " Wacom Serial Pen Tablet".

Another indication that your TabletPC is not Wacom Penabled is if you have installed the Penabled driver and get an error stating no supported tablet was found when opening the control panel.
