Online stream and on stage in : Tokyo

The Ocean Research 3D Super Science Project for junior high school students was launched as the Ocean and Japan Project by the Nippon Foundation. This project aims to hand over the richness of the ocean to the next generation, and is working with partners all over Japan. Through research on marine life using the latest 3D technology, the project aims to build the capacity of youngsters as future leaders in various fields and supporting their personal development by broadening their perspective. How does 3D help research on marine life? The session explains the history behind this project by giving an account of current 3D education in Japan in comparison with the world trend. Furthermore, tips on teaching 3D modeling in classrooms are shared by showing a video demonstrating actual work using Wacom's pen tablet, the essential tool for the 3D industry.
