Executive Director of Marine Projects Division at the Nippon Foundation. Organizes various projects under the theme of “passing sustainable oceans on to future generations” as exemplified by the Ocean and Japan Project. Engaged in works of launching epoch-making projects and strategic partnerships to create social impacts by leveraging its network of public and private sectors, international organizations, media, universities, research institutes, academics, NPOs and NGOs in and outside of Japan, and to internationally take greater initiative on marine affairs including geo-environmental issues.
