Eshi 100

Japanese pop culture is subject of world’s attention. “Eshi100 - Contemporary Japanese Illustration” is an exhibition showing works produced under common themes by leading artists called eshi (= painting craftsmen) by their fans, active in the fields of manga, animation, illustration and others. Annual exhibition held in several cities in and outside of Japan since 2011. Altogether over 600,000 visitors up to now. Aims to showcase advanced skills and the “magical universe” of participating artists so that Japan can boast front-line values and culture to the world.
