He has participated in (and mostly has led) several national AI-related projects. He has published in the field of AI more than 100 high-level papers, which have been cited over 2600 times. He has also scored an H-index of 23. He has developed the world’s first interactive virtual idol, Hupo Xu Yan. And his intelligent customer service robot has served more than 1 billion users. Currently, he is the Deputy Director of the Terminology Committee of the China Computer Federation, the Chairman of the SIGKG, the secretary general of Shanghai, the Director of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China, the Deputy Secretary-General of the CIPS, the Deputy Director of the Shanghai Computer Society Technical Committee on Natural Language Processing, and the Secretary-General of the Shanghai Jiaotong University AI Alumni Association.
