Title: Wind Carrying Light Artist: Syuro
About the artwork: The theme is "the charm of Oiso”. I live close to the ocean, and I think the ocean is one of Oiso's main attractions. When you go to see the ocean, there is nothing blocking your view and a very comfortable breeze is blowing. I reflected on my favorite element, wind and the beautiful scenery of the ocean in my piece: The Hama-hirugao flowers which bloom by the sea, and the Shonan Gold orange, which is harvested in Oiso. It is also my favorite fruit. I tried to avoid using colors that would darken the mood while aiming to deliver a refreshing image through light emanating from the front of the person; the wind element was used to take away my suffering. I hope you feel a little brighter when you see this piece.
