Andreas Dengel is the Executive Director of the German Research Center for Artificial Intelligence (DFKI) in Kaiserslautern, the Scientific Director of the Smart Data & Knowledge Services Research Department at DFKI. He is the founder and director of the Deep Learning Competence Center at DFKI. In 1993, he was appointed professor at the Computer Science Department of Kaiserslautern University.
